How do I set the password?
If you have trouble setting a password, check the following:
1. Be sure the sensitivity switch is set on "Low".
2. Be sure there is no background noise such as a TV or radio playing.
3. Hold the microphone about 3 inches to 6 inches from your mouth.

Why will the door no longer close?
- Usually the door will not close because the mechanism is out of sequence.
- Press "Reset" button (located inside the battery compartment), then set a new password.

My unit continues to ask for my password even after one has been accepted.
- Install new batteries and reset your password
- Be sure that you are not holding down the "set password" button or "access" button during the prompt.

Where is the gel pen in the PW Journal (73007)?
The gel pen is located inside the compartment on the side that hinges (see instructions). Open the journal door with your password or with the reset button. Push in on indention and lift up. The gel pen is located inside.

My unit keeps saying "Error, access denied" what is wrong with it?
It is not recognizing your password. You must give your password in the exact way it was recorded. Reset your unit and re-enter the password.

I can hardly understand what the voice on the journal is saying it sounds muffled.
This is usually due to low batteries. Install new batteries and re-enter a password.

How do I reset the password or even open the door?
- Press the reset button located inside the battery compartment.
- Once the reset button is pressed the door will open and the journal will begin to prompt for a password.

My journal is accepting my password but the door will not open.
Try a new set of batteries and set a new password.

When I set my password it accepts but now when I try to get back into the unit with the access button it will not accept my password.
Try setting a new password with security switch on "Low".

The access light stays on constantly and will not turn off.
This is normally caused by low batteries. Install new batteries and reset.

The journal door opens without using the password.
Reset the unit and re-enter a password with security set on "High".

The journal is not responding at all. I tried the reset button and nothing is working.
- Be sure you are pressing the "Reset" button all the way in.
- Check to see if batteries are fresh and installed correctly.
